MASERU, LESO
Maseru is the capital and a unique rather large city of the state Lesotho. Its population is about 30 thousand inhabitants. Maseru has been based in 1869 by Moshesh I. Till 1966 the city served as an administrative centre of Basutoland, and after 1966 has become capital of the independent Lesotho.
Maseru is a unit of highways and a shopping center, specialized in sale of domestic cattle, skins and skins of animals, wool and grain. All this production is effected in the suburbs of the capital. The city is connected by a branch line to the Austral Africa. The industry is advanced poorly: basically there are the alimentary enterprises.
In Maseru there is an Agricultural college of Lesotho, and near cities – the National university of Lesotho.
