LILONGWЕ, MALAWI
Lilongwe is the capital of Malawi (a place of abiding of government) and an administrative centre of the province Central. The population is about 223 thousand inhabitants. The city has been based in 1947, and in 1964 has been proclaimed by capital Malawi. In 1968 here the construction of government offices began.
Lilongwe is a shopping center of the region specialized on the elaboration of tobacco productions and peanuts. Except alimentary, in the city the sector of light industry is introduced as well. There is an international airport.
In the city the agricultural college is open.
