GABORONE, BOTSWANA
Gaborone - the capital of Botswana and an administrative centre of south-east district - is located near the river Ngotvane. The population is 134000 inhabitants.
The first settlement has been based in 1890th years by the British Southern-African company, as part of the block of Gaborone which was constructed for white inhabitants.
The city executes mainly the functions of an administrative centre. The industrial sector is rather small. Here they produce beer, and also items from arbor and metal. Through Gaborone the railway bridging Austral Africa and Zimbabwe passes.
In the city there is a National museum and art gallery, University of Botswana and Botswanian agricultural college.
